Dr. Ron Ribitzky is a physician executive in Healthcare I.T. and Life-Sciences Informatics. He has a distinguished record of bringing together clinical insight, global perspectives, visionary thinking, technology leadership, and operational reality to shape strategy and drive execution throughout the product, service, and solution life cycle.
Dr. Ribitzky brings to us over 20 years of experience in medical, technology, marketing, and management roles with world-class companies, start-ups, healthcare organizations, R&D and academia; Situational leadership forming and managing national and multinational teams through complex high-stake projects; Driving collaboration across professional domains, business units, corporate and field, and the ecosystem; and 10 years of clinical practice as a Flight Surgeon, Primary Care Physician, and Senior Resident in Pediatrics.
His technology career includes Senior Healthcare Strategist and Worldwide Marketing Campaign Manager for Mobile Point of Care at Intel, VP Emerging Technologies and VP Advanced Research at Eclipsys, CIO at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, and Director of Applications at Boston Children’s Hospital. He won Intel’s Healthcare I.T. Award (team) for exceeding a nine-figure worldwide revenue goal, Intel Digital Health Division Recognition Award (team) for Economic Model of Healthcare I.T., Intel KUDOS Awards for Customer Orientation, Results Orientation, Discipline and Risk Taking, and Eclipsys Chairman Awards (team and individual) for exceptional accomplishments, entrepreneurism, and teamwork.
Boards and professional committee experience includes Leadership Council, Electronic Health Record Usability Workgroup at HIMSS; Framework for Evaluating Electronic Health Records (Davies Program); Architecture Board, Asklepios Future Hospital; Industry Advisory Board, National Science Foundation Center for Intelligent Information Retrieval; Board of ACSIOM, a technology transfer corporation; and Advisor to AT&T on National Medical Practice Knowledge Bank project of the U.S. Department of Commerce/NIST.
Dr. Ribitzky’s academic appointment included Visiting Scientist at IBM, Visiting Scientist at the Weizmann Institute - Applied Mathematics, Research Fellow in Medical Informatics at Harvard Medical School, Assistant Professor in Pediatrics at the University of Massachusetts, and Assistant Professor at the Center for Clinical Evaluation Sciences at Emory School of Public Health. He served as a Co-Pi on ARPA National Academic Medical Centers Information Collaborative, and Co-Pi on Raytheon Clinical Event Monitor.
Dr. Ribitzky published, presented, and led workshops around the world on diverse topics relating to eHealth Innovation, Emerging Technologies, Electronic Medical Record, Mobile Point of Care, Healthcare I.T., and Bio-Medical Informatics in industry, academia, marketing, and sales events.
