After an early career in corporate sales, with her Bachelors of Science degree as
a Social Scientist: a minor in psychology, she was able to heed her life calling
and begin a career in helping others.
Ruth Skocic inspired to launch My LifePlan ® after witnessing needless tragedies
among some of the adults for whom she served as advocate. She envisioned a world
where emergency personnel could access critical information of those in their care,
reunite family and loved ones, and a world where emergency relief workers are able
to act in the best interest with the right information available, even those unable
to speak on their own behalf.
Ruth imagined a system that could eliminate controversies like the one that surrounded
the illness and death of Florida resident Terri Schindler Schiavo, or the tragedy
of an indigent man whose gangrenous infection cost him his life the same day Ruth
succeeded in a desperate effort to secure emergency guardianship for him. Furthermore,
Ms. Skocic imagined a system to identify and verify individuals in the most trying
of times and give parents peace of mind when every second counts through reunification.
As she watched, as most Americans’ did, during 9-1-1, Katrina, the Columbine School
Shooting, and many other horrific events; Ruth pushed harder to bring her system
to life.
Launching My LifePlan ® in 2006 was, in many ways, the culmination of Ruth's life
experiences, formal education and on-the-job knowledge.
In addition to serving as CEO of My LifePlan Holdings, Inc. ® Ruth also devises
corporate structures, business opportunity, and raising capital.
